The Dalle Molle Foundation is a non-profit-making foundation. Its aim is to support general interest, innovative and high quality scientific projects. It is also involved in promoting applied research and achievements intended to improve quality of life, in accordance with the guidelines left by its founder, the Italian industrialist, Angelo Dalle Molle. To this end, each year the Foundation awards a prize to one or more authors of a draft research project.

The Foundation works in close collaboration with the La Barbariga study centre in Italy. It collaborates with universities or cultural organisations and seeks to maintain close relations with the international scientific environments.

The aim of the Dalle Molle Foundation for Quality of Life Contest is to promote innovative projects of general interest and of high scientific quality.
